- Sourdough Bread – I personally like sourdough bread with my avocado toasts because I find that the sourdough has much more structure than other breads but you’re welcome to use any kind that you like
- Avocado – need half an avocado per toast
- Egg – you can add more eggs for more protein
- Feta Cheese – the feta cheese is really the star of this recipe that brings all the flavors together
- Everything but the bagel seasoning
- Paprika
- Salt & Pepper
- A drizzle of olive oil
How To Make Avocado Toast
Step One: Prepare Avocado and Feta Cheese
For a more enjoyable eating experience, start by mashing the avocado. Cut avocado in half, scoop out the flesh onto a small dish, and mash it with a fork. Cut the feta cheese into small bite-sized pieces and set aside.
Step Two: Fry the Egg
In a small frying pan, heat a little bit of olive oil over medium heat. Fry the egg according to your preference, seasoning it with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Step Three: Toast the Bread
While the egg cooks, toast your bread in a toaster oven for a quick toast. However, if you want to take it to the next level, toast your bread in the same pan after cooking the egg and let it get golden brown.
Step Four: Assemble the Ingredients
Spread mashed avocado evenly on the toast. Generously sprinkle the everything but the bagel seasoning over the avocado. Add as much feta cheese as desired. Lastly, top with the fried egg and enjoy!
