How To Make Chicken Katsu Bites in the Air Fryer
Step One: Dunking Stations
Start by cutting chicken breasts into 1 inch bite-sized pieces and set them aside. In a medium shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and set aside. In another shallow bowl, combine panko crumbs, garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper and mix well.
Coat the chicken pieces in the beaten eggs, then dunk them into the panko mixture. Repeat the coating process twice making sure the chicken is thoroughly covered.
Step Two: Air Fry
Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line the air fryer basket with foil and spray it with non-stick oil. Place the coated chicken pieces onto the foil. Season the chicken again with garlic powder, chili powder, salt and pepper. Finish by spraying the chicken with a light coat of non-stick spray to ensure it gets golden in the air fryer.
Cook in the air fryer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is golden brown and its internal temperature reaches at least 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
